Dear Doctor Martinez,

Our recent letter to you was the first of two letters we have been wanting to write. This is the second.

No appreciation of your practice would be complete without a tribute to its wonderful staff. Yesi, Mina, Toto, Jessica, Carolina, Monica, Xavier(forgive us if we are overlooking anyone) are more than receptionists and technicians. True, they are skilled, patient and cooperative, but we have come to see them as more than just young people fulfilling the requirements of a job. We often see them as family, at times even as angels of mercy. They bring to their patient care a spirit of concern, sympathy and compassion that is not often seen in this fast-moving world. Visits are often of necessity long, and they do their best to make them as pleasant and comfortable as is possible. They are alert to the needs and problems of your clientele and create an image for Visionary Ophthalmology far beyond what is found in so many reception areas.

We admire them, and have much affection for them.

I just wanted to say thank you. The atmosphere you have created working together spills over into how you treat your patients. One smile after another. You all were so helpful and seemed that you really cared. That makes a big difference in your patients’ lives even if it is never said. Keep up the good work, it is greatly appreciated. Also, to Dr. Martinez, Thank you. Your bedside manner makes a world of difference in making your patients comfortable with their situation.
