Our Practice / Dr. Fernando Auza, OD

General Medical Optometry, Specialty Contact Lenses, Surgical Co-Management

I grew up helping my father in his Optical Laboratory. At the age of 12, I knew that I wanted to become an Optometrist. I moved to the United States when I was 17 years old. This country has given me the opportunity to achieve the highest level of Optometric education in the world. After graduating from Optometry School, I completed a residency in Medical Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. During my residency I also had the opportunity to work with patients in need of specialty contact lenses. After completing my residency I joined Visionary Ophthalmology, where we have a large number of patient in need of specialty contact lenses. These include contact lenses for keratoconus, bifocal contact lenses and lenses for patients with astigmatism.

I feel blessed to have the opportunity to help my patients, and it is the most rewarding feeling to see them happy.
